Cuvée J2 Hôtel Osaka by Onko Chishin, operated by Onko Chishin Inc., a company that produces destination hotels worthy of becoming the purpose of one’s journey, (Location: Osaka-shi, Osaka Prefecture; General Manager: Hotaka Ihara; hereinafter referred to as Cuvée J2), will host a makers dinner themed around the Champagne houses Piper-Heidsieck (hereinafter, Piper-Heidsieck) and Rare Champagne (hereinafter, Rare Champagne) on Friday, December 18, 2026. With Christmas just around the corner, December brings an even more festive atmosphere to the city. At Cuvée J2 Hôtel Osaka, in this season when Champagne is at its most fitting, we will present a one-night-only makers dinner where guests can savor the story passed down from Piper-Heidsieck to Rare Champagne. At this event, guests will enjoy both Piper-Heidsieck and Rare Champagne over the course of one evening, while exploring through each glass how Rare Champagne, originally created as Piper-Heidsieck’s prestige cuvée, evolved into an independent Maison. | The Story of 11 Maisons Shared by the World’s First Official Champagne Hotel Cuvée J2 Hôtel Osaka is the world’s first official Champagne hotel, formally partnered with 11 prestigious Champagne Maisons. The hotel features 11 guest rooms, each expressing the world of a different Maison, offering guests the opportunity to experience Champagne culture itself through their stay. In addition, as an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of each Maison’s philosophy, history, and terroir, makers dinners are held on an ongoing basis. More than simply tasting Champagne, guests are invited to experience the culture and the passion of the producers behind it, discovering the stories woven by each of the 11 Maisons. | From Piper-Heidsieck to Rare Champagne, Traced Through 6 Glasses From Piper-Heidsieck’s signature cuvées to vintage expressions, and on to Rare Champagne’s millésimes and rosé, guests will enjoy six Champagnes in sequence, each revealing its own distinct character. Please note that the lineup is subject to change without notice. ■ Piper-Heidsieck Cuvée Brut An Introduction to the Maison Through Its Glamour A classic cuvée that symbolizes the style of Piper-Heidsieck. The evening begins with its glamorous and approachable character. In 2026, a limited-edition bottle commemorating the 100th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s birth will be released, and guests will enjoy it as the toast of the evening. ■ Piper-Heidsieck Essentiel Blanc de Noirs Discovering the Maison’s Character Through Pinot Noir A cuvée centered on Pinot Noir, the grape that has supported Piper-Heidsieck throughout its history. Through the power and depth unique to black grapes, guests will discover the style the Maison has long cherished. ■ Piper-Heidsieck Brut Vintage 2018 A Vintage That Reflects 2018 A vintage Champagne made from grapes harvested in a single year. Moving one step beyond the standard non-vintage style, guests will experience how Piper-Heidsieck expresses the 2018 harvest. ■ RARE Millésime 2013 The 2013 Chosen by RARE A millésime produced only in select harvest years. Having just tasted Piper-Heidsieck’s vintage expression, guests can also enjoy discovering the differences in how each is expressed. ■ RARE Millésime 2008 A Back Vintage Shaped by Time Rare Millésime 2008, matured over an extended period. Alongside the differences from the 2013 vintage, this cuvée offers an opportunity to compare how flavors evolve with time. ■ RARE Rosé 2014 Rosé as Expressed by RARE For the finale, Rare Rosé 2014 will be served.
